Alternative for ADHD: If you are bothered by stimulant side effects, and need medication for ADHD, ask your prescribing doctor for alternative treatment with Atomoxetine or (off-label) Bupropion. Depending on age, young people might also try Guanfasine XR (Intuniv) or Clonidine (Kapvay).

ADHD medication : If someone I'm seeing is having trouble with the stimulant based medications, I send them back to try different meds. MDs have prescribed medications like Intuniv, which is a derivation of a blood pressure medication. Also, Wellbutrin (bupropion) has also helped with ADHD symptoms. Speak to your MD about possibilities that would work for you.
