Pharyngitis: It sounds like you have some type of infection in your throat. With severe pain upon swallowing and pus, this could be any number of types of infection, though. It could be a standard strep throat, but there are much worse possibilities like chlamydia or other microbes causing this. You most likely are going to need to see your FP for a look, maybe a culture, and certainly, treatment!
