A member asked:

Will over-the-counter antihistamines like benadryl (diphenhydramine) have any bad interactions with ssris like zoloft?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally no: Second generation antihistamines such as allegra, zyrtec and Claritin are non sedating and do not interact with ssris. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is sedating and may increase the sedation of ssris.
