TMJ pain: You may want to see a dentist who specializes in TMJ. He/she can check your bite and alignment. In the meantime you can take Ibuprofen and avoid foods that require heavy chewing.

Look for a dentist..: If you are looking for more experienced care for what sounds like TMJ syndrome, I would work through your dentist. While some ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialists treat TMJ, more dentists have specialized in orofacial pain. There may be some primary care physicians who have taken a special interest in TMJ, but I would think they would be difficult to identify. Good wishes:)

Midface Migraine: Although migraine is usually considered a headache, it can also present as facial pain, jaw and/or the maxillary sinus which often confuses the diagnosis. TMJ is continuous pain, not 2-3 times/week. See your PCP for Imitrex (sumatriptan) test to support the diagnosis.
