Come and go: Hemorrhoids come and go. If there is a lot of extreme bleeding he may be anemic so he should see his doctor right away. If it is minor bleeding, but is lasting a long time then he should make an appointment to be seen and evaluated. Sometimes hemorrhoids have to be removed if they bleed persistently.

Assess: He should see his doctor for an exam and medication or surgery. This is a miserable problem to have to deal with when it can be corrected. All the best.
