Do No Harm: Physicians take an oath to first of all do not harm. Doctors withhold treatments only if the treatment might harm the patient. Physicians use their many years of education and experience when determining any appropriate treatment. Patients must remember this when their opinion differs from that of the physician. In these situations, ask questions and try to understand the doctors reasoning.
