Warfarin vs rivaroxa: rivaroxaban is one of a new group of oral anticoagulants all of which compare to warfarin as the standard. They are not 'the same as' warfarin but their effects in the diagnoses they are approved for are comparable to warfarin. They have advantages and disadvantages but their big selling point is they don't need to be followed by frequent blood testing
