Dengue Fever: Acute Dengue Fever can impair liver function. Hepatic dysfunction can range from mild increases in transaminase levels to severe injury with jaundice and potentially liver failure and death. Adding in alcohol will increase toxicity to liver and may contribute to worsening illness.
