A 20-year-old female asked:

What are the abg results of a patient with dengue hemorrhagic fever?

Depends: If there is sepsis, the oxygen goes down and there could be acidosis (low ph). Otherwise, the carrying capacity of oxygen goes down due to lysis of cells but the oxygen seen, the saturation, may be the same. If there is fever, a person breaths faster and the ph goes up and co2 goes down. In short, there is nothing specific attributable to dengue fever in abg.

A 20-year-old male asked:

Difference between dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever?

Quite similar: Both conditions are caused by dengue virus. One is a milder form but the second one is more serious due to development of very low platelet counts which can lead to bleeding(that is why it is called hemorragic) and occasional fatalities due to shock(fluid leaks) or bleeding.
