Had a cough for at least a month its gotten horrible cheast is heavy hard to hear out of one hear yet the other i get sharp pains in what shpuld i do?

Get checked: You didn't say whether you have other associated respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic lung disease, sinusitis or even whether or not you're a smoker or have GERD. With such a persistent cough & increased effort with breathing, you should get checked for pneumonia. Hope that helps.
