Rare adverse event: In few susceptible patients minocycline can trigger the immune system & cause "drug induced autoimmune disease". Minocycline remains a safe drug but you need to be ware of these very rare side effects. Best wishes

My doctor (not a dermatologist) prescribed minocycline for folliculitis on my butt and thighs that has lasted for years. I read about it and it seems to usually be used to treat acne, not folliculitis, and it has harsh side effects. 2nd opinion?
I dont know why my chin, jawline and neck always itches after I shower or uses face wash I dont know if thats caused by minocycline a medication I took for pimples or is it the face wash that causes my skin to itch?
