Mucocele: Surgical excision will likely be best to minimize risk of recurrence. These lesions need to be fully removed for best prognosis. Even with surgical excision, these lesions tend to have a high recurrence rate. Ask your dentist/surgeon about these. Depending on the location, scarring could be an issue.

Mucocele: Mucoceles can be removed easily with surgical excision. Most dentists do not use lasers. In competent hands either one is a quick and easy procedure with little or no discomfort afterwards. I would go with the dentist whom you feel most comfortable with rather than how it's done.
