A member asked:

If i eat exactly the way someone who has had gastic bypass surgery, will i lose weight?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gastric bypass: They might very well be, we don't do the operation on people who are able to cut their food intake and lose weight, they don't need it. If you've been offered bypass without giving you a shot at really cutting caloric intake to obviate surgery, something may be amiss.
