BMI 34.3: Hi. Bariatric surgery is currently not recommended for people with BMI less than 40. Try to adhere to a healthy lifestyle. There are some FDA-approved medications for weight loss you could discuss with your doctor. You should be screened at least annually for diabetes. I know weight loss is incredibly difficult and we know dieting almost never works. Eat healthily and do your best. Good luck!

Perhaps: Your doctor can guide you through the process of attaining weight loss surgery. Provided they have exhausted all medical means and reversed hormonal causes you could be a candidate for weight loss surgery. Please see your doctor as soon as possible and good luck.
