Get the work up done: A high blood pressure in itself may not be the reason for rejection. There are two different aspects that you need to be concerned. One, if your kidney is compatible and wont get rejected. That will be checked by certain blood tests. The second issue is that if your kidneys are healthy. With blood pressure issues the kidneys may not be healthy enough to be transplanted. So get yourself checked in

Donor: You may be right. If a potential donut has HTN they have risk from donation. Certain donor maybe a candidate based on their history, but in general you may not be a candidate. Is your mother listed at a transplant center? Are there other family members. She may be a candidate for decreased donor. Best of luck
