Can't say: There are innumerable reasons to get a cat scan. It would be inappropriate for me to tell you what to do. I understand you're scared, but a cat scan will not change anything but your knowledge about what's inside. Talk to your doctor about your concerns, as they are normal. Hope this helps!

See doctor: If you have been advised to get the scan, then your being afraid will not make the problem go away. Face your fears, be brave, and get the scan. It may show that there is no need for surgery. Best wishes.

Just do it!: It sounds like you might have a serious health problem. I'm not insensitive, but it's nonsense to avoid a recommended test for fear of the result. You have a health problem or you don't, you need surgery or you don't. Delay risks a worse outcome. When people fear a test, anxiety delines after it's done, even if the feared problem is found; fear of the unknown is worse than even a bad news result.

CT SCAN: If your doctor suggested a CT SCAN, it does not necessarily mean you will need surgery. Follow up with your doctor to address your concerns and get appropriate follow up
