See your doctor: You may need to be screened for many different types of headaches. Your doctor will set you up to take a series of tests and also see a neurologist. If it is any type of seizure the EEG will help make that diagnosis as well as the full history. Take care and feel well.

This is...: This sounds very much like a migraine headache. The "zaps" that you describe may be part of the prodrome ( warning signs before the headache begins). First monitor your diet and avoid foods that have monosodium glutamate (MSG), an d nitrites. Keep headache diary Follow up with your doctor
