Great Question: sometimes we just notice something that has been there all along. Other times it is a true change that could represent disease. My feeling is if we think it is changing, get it checked. It is always better to check it out and it is nothing than to ignore it and it be something bad. I'm reminded of the old gentleman who waited to get the tumor on his head checked until his hat didn't fit.

Scar tissue: can develop reactive changes, particularly on an area where the skin moves a lot such as an elbow. If the mole you had removed was benign then you should not be too concerned, unless you are at high risk for malignant melanoma (have personal or family history). Keep an eye on the area, if it continues to change, consider having it checked.
