No: Schizophrenia is an illness. Just like other illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure, medication is used to keep it in check. The term "crazy" is just a word that people use due to the stigma toward mental illness.

Schizophrenia: A person with positive symptoms of Schizophrenia could lose touch with reality. Positive sx’s of schizophrenia can include delusions & hallucinations (visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, gustatory). Disorganized sx’s can include disorganized or catatonic behaviors.
