A member asked:

I had a echocardiogram a year ago, overall it was ok but my doctor diagnosed me with atrial enlargement (right). what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Right atrium: Isolated right atrial enlargement can be due to a variety of abnormal physiological causes. It can also be a spurious finding related to the plane of imaging. Best to discuss with your doctor to get the explanation most appropriate for your situation.
