As instructed: Take as instructed. Most prescriptions start with 500 mg/ day or 2 x 250 mg and continue with 1 tab or 250 mg/ daily. Sometimes it is prescribed at 250 mg/ daily per day for 5-7 days. Take sips of liquids, let your prescriber know about your progression.

No: Use the medication as prescribed only as your symptoms will improve gradually. Keep yourself hydrated and use tylenol (acetaminophen) /motrin for pain if no contraindications.Warm salt water gargle as needed. See your doctor if all these do not improve your symptoms
