Miscarriage: Repeat miscarriage depend on lots of things. In your case age is a factor as miscarriage rates increase at 38. Plus by this age, many women have other health issues that can increase miscarriage risks. Take some folic acid preconceptual and while you can conceive again 2-4 weeks after a loss, I would recommend a quick consult with an OB/GYN to see what factors/issues need addressed.

Many........: Many miscarriages are not even known. All women can miscarry! And it can happen again. Causes should be checked for by the OB/GYN doc, such as anti-cardiolipin disease. My wife had two, after two successful pregnancies. Then came two beautiful fraternal twin daughters. You CAN remain quite fertile after a miscarriage, although it can happen again!
