Depression possible: With this persistent drowsiness over 3-4 months you may want to see your PCP and be screened for depression. The earlier that the treatment gets started the easier it is to see/feel improvement.

Sleep apnea etc: I agree w/Dr. Roseth that we need to make sure you're not suffering from depression. Without any other info, such as sleep habits, snoring, neck size, body mass index, I'll just toss out sleep apnea as another common cause of poor sleep, making it difficult to wake up and easier to fall asleep during day when it's inappropriate. Restless leg syndrome is another issue, too. Don't forget hypothyroid
