A member asked:

Can when you go to sleep be as important as how much sleep you get in terms of the energy one has during the day? or, does it not matter what time you go to bed?

Both important: It is important to get at least 8 hours of sleep daily to help your body re-energize for the next day. Going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same time each day is more important than the exact time you go to sleep. Your body has a circadian rhythm that regulates your sleep pattern and when that is thrown off it can effect your energy the next day and can cause insomnia problems.

Predictability.: What matters in the time of going to sleep is the predictability of it. Sleep hygiene dictates that we fall asleep and awaken at the same times every night and morning, respectively.
