Spine Tumor: A tumor in the spinal cord itself is unlikely to effect the brain unless the tumor type spread from the brain (this is uncommon) or is metastatic tumor from elsewhere in the body (extremely uncommon). The majority of intramedullary tumors are astrocytomas or ependymomas.
