Low ferritin: A ferritin level of 9ng / mL is low for an adult and may indicate iron deficiency. Low dietary intake over time (month) can be a cause. Try to eat foods with iron and consult a doctor to see if you are in fact if on deficient and if iron supplementation makes sense for you to keep your blood count healthy and avoid anemia.
