A member asked:

Good day, i received the results from my blood tests yesterday and it showed that i have an hb of 14, but a ferritin level of 8. could you possibly inform me as to what medication i can use? and also what i can do to my diet to improve this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, low ferritin indicates low iron stores. You may take oral iron and multivitamins to replenish your iron stores. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
