Food poisoning: 5 days is usually a safe period to keep cooked meat in the fridge but if it was contaminated after cooking then it might make you sick 5 days later after bacteria have had a chance to grow. Food poisoning generally goes away in a day or 2. If not, or if having worrisome symptoms, seek medical care.
