Insect bite: Sounds like an insect bite of some kind. Often the deer tic bite presents with a red "bull's eye" ring around the center where the bite occurred. This will lead to Lyme disease. Best to get it checked right now while the signs are visible. Go to your MD or ER or urgent care now and get checked and treated. Good Luck.

Skin infection: A furuncle (boil), is a deep folliculitis, infection of the hair follicle. Apply warm compresses and soak the boil in warm water 3-4 times per day. The good news is most boils will disappear with simple home treatment.
