Risks: Receiving oral sex has minimal risk for HIV transmission. However, while no clear link has been established, risk is increased with the presence of any type of genital or oral lesions, such as herpes, which harbor higher concentrations of the HIV virus and constitute a breakdown in the normal protective barriers of your skin. If in doubt, HIV tests are free at the health department.
