3 weeks ago i have an unprotected oral sex from a girl, i now have acute enteritis/gastritis, duodenitis (no fever & other symptoms), will i get hiv?

Certainly testable: the current tests for HIV look for both the virus and immune reaction to it. It would show the virus by 3 weeks if it were there. and nervousness often causes increased stomach acid and pain and ulcer.

Yes: The horomones that regulate breast milk production can result in dry and atrophic vaginal tissue. This can markedly decrease the sex drive. Exhaustion from around the clock feedings also can have a dramatic impact on sex drive.
A member asked:

What should I do if my babys had a fever for five days, and tylenol (acetaminophen) isnt making it better?

Dr. Scott Katz
Pediatrics 26 years experience
Call your doctor: When your baby has had fever for more than 3-5 days that does not seem to be resolving, they need to be examined to determine if the cause is serious and what treatment is required. Don't forget that a baby can be sick without a fever, and as a parent, you know your child best. Fever is just a symptom, and by itself is not harmful and is part of the bodies natural immune response to illness.

Yes: Aquiring one sexually tramsitted disease is usually coupled with another std as well. This includes gonnorrhea and hiv, especially if the partner has risk factors for having these infections (e.g. Drug use, prostitution, many sexual partners, etc.). If any concern, testing for these is recommended.

ED-loss of erection: Ed simply refers to inability to have a satisfying erection. Erectile dysfunction can be trreated. Inability to get an erection, maintain an erection through the sex act or inability go have a satisfying erection are all attributable to ed. If there are problems with getting, quality of or maintaining an erection, see your pcp or urologist for assessment.
A 21-year-old member asked:

If I wash thoroughly with rubbing alcohol after sex, will I lessen my chance for an std?

2 doctor answers2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Marcus Degraw
Pediatrics 22 years experience
No: No, rubbing down with rubbing alcohol is not effective at reducing your risk of obtaining an std. Stds are spread by contact with skin to infected skin or infected secretions from someone who has the std. After you have sex with someone who is infected is precisely the wrong time to be concerned for getting an std. Practice safe sex - always. Protect yourself and be prepared for safe sex!
