Bracket removal: Removal of bracket shouldn't result in unendurable pain... a bit of discomfort for a brief second, but that's about it. If the patient was that sensitive, then a local anesthetic or nitrous oxide could be used.

Find out why: i have removed the braces from thousands of patients and except for an occasional sore gum, my patients haven't found braces removal to be painful. If your teeth are very sensitive to touch, tell your orthodontist about it and he / she will find out what's going on.

Anxiety: You should feel a little pressure when the braces are being removed, but no pain. Ask your orthodontist to use a special technique for effective pain and anxiety control.

It's easy: "Off" is easier and faster than "On." Your Orthodontic Specialist is trained and experienced in making this an easy procedure for you. If you're concerned, ask the Orthodontist to set aside some time to discuss this with you. You'll be pleased with the result.

Don't worry: Removing braces is a painless, easy experience. We have never had a patient complain of pain during this process, and no, we don't use any anesthetic. Most patients feel some pressure, but not pain. And then there is the joy of seeing your new smile!
