I have been diagnosed with tmj/d what is the treatment for this please i'm waiting to be seen by an oral maxillofacial surgeon but req'd advise please?

TMD: For most patients splint therapy along with reviewing habits that could be leading to this. Splint therapy a night guard. Some patients may need NSAIDS and a soft diet along with muscle relaxants. People with severe issues could require surgery but surgery typically has a poor outcome
