No needles needed: colposcopy is important for the prevention of cancer. It is simply the use of a magnifying scope to take a closer look at the cervix. Your doctor will put a solution on the cervix which helps to see abnormal cells. Sometimes a biopsy will be needed using a clip, but it is quick and no needles or injections are needed.
