A member asked:

How far apart to safely take prednisone, aspirin, plavix, metoprolol, pepcid (famotidine) in am? and prednisone, pepcid (famotidine), metoprolol in pm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Neal Skop answered

Combination of meds: pepcid (famotidine) blocks the acid receptors in the stomach and may interfere with the breakdown and therefore absorption of some of the medication you have mentioned...i would suggest taking the pepcid (famotidine) a few hours after your other medications but i know may patients who safely take all of these medications together
