Not too much: Cholesterol in the blood stream is measured, but LDL (bad cholesterol) is calculated: LDL = total chol - ( 5 x triglyc) - hdl no studies have shown an adverse outcome from too high of HDL (good cholesterol) no study has shown benefit from any intervention to increase HDL but many have shown correlation to better outcomes with lower LDL (bad chol).
