What is your opinion on using neostigimine for prolonged ileus of the gut.

Depends: It works well for isolated colon ileus (Olgilvie's syndrome), but for the small bowel or stomach doesn't work. There are however many variables that exist, along with the certainty of the diagnosis. Hope this helps!
