UTI: Since trimethoprin is not working you should be referred to a Urologist!

Possibly: You should check to make sure a culture of urine was done initially to diagnosis the infection. This can check to see what type of bacteria caused the infection and which antibiotics will be effective for treatment. If you are still having symptoms, you may have an infection which is resistant to some antibiotics. Please talk to your doctor as you may need another option and/or another culture

Continue&follow up: I will advice to contune the prescription and drink extra fluids&cranbury juice, follow up with your doctor for result of urine culture if taken to see if your infecting bacteria is susceptible to Trmethoprim.Usually it is prescribed as a combination with Sulphanomide called Sceptra in UK.It will be nice to know what antibiotic your infection is sensitive to.Follw up with your doctor&urine culture
