A member asked:

My son is 9 months old and hasn't been drinking his formula. it was suggested that i give him some pedialyte to help with nutrients. i don't know how?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Same as formula: Pedialyte is an oral rehydration solution that will give your baby electrolytes and fluids. It is meant for hydration and not for nutrition and is not a substitute for formula. It can be given in a bottle the same as milk. Your baby will need about 1.5oz for every 20lbs body weight per hour. Again, this is only for temporary rehydration. If your baby is dehydrated, seek medical attention
