The goal of: working out should be to be healthy and strong. Muscle builds slowly by working out for years and gradually increasing the weight lifted. Cardiovascular exercise has more impact on stress management, so for your mental and physical health, I would recommend a combination of cardio and strength training. Psychotherapy can also help learn ways to cope with job related stress.
