A member asked:

Do beta blockers help stop heart palpitations? or just slow the rate down and palpitations may continue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Beta blockers: Both things you describe happen. When palpitations are due to adrenergic stimulation, beta blockade is a preventive. Sometimes they are tied to heart rate and slowing is advantageous.
