Minimal: Laparoscopic surgery is usually a day surgery where the patient goes home the same day. Your surgeon should provide instructions for post op care according to their surgical preferences. There is usually a few days of discomfort requiring low dose pain medication for a few days.

About a week: You should always ask this question from the surgeon who is going to do the procedure I am not a surgeon but most laparoscopic surgeries take about a week to recover if there is no complication
