We know a lot less: about schizophrenia than we would like to but I know of no association between people becoming parents later in life and schizophrenia. Studies of older fathers have mixed results and any association is controversial at best or suggest a mild association with mental illness in offspring. The most productive think you can choose is to life a healthy lifestyle by eating well, exercise, etc. Peace

Schizophrenia?: Not enough info. Any family history of mental illnesses on either side?. The age of parent is not enough factor to determine cause.
