Minimal Risk: Given your description it doesn't sound like your foot was punctured by the object. If that is true there is minimal risk with this exposure. Either way you should make sure you are up to date with tetanus vaccine.

Yes Theoretically: I would anyway ensure that your tetanus vaccine is up to date. If you have not had one in the last 5-10 years, I would call your primary care provider and have it done. Better to be safe, and up to date anyway.
