Yes: Cat bites can inject germs into the wound that will cause a significant cellulitis. Any break in the skin may trigger tetanus, but other germs would be more likely. A tetanus booster would be reasonable if you have not had one in 10 yrs. I would see your doc if the area is red & swollen. It likely requires antibiotics now before it gets worse & lands you in the hospital.
