PE?: A minty taste should not be anything serious. Usually infection produces a foul odor of taste in your mouth. I'm not clear as to what PE stands for but antibiotics wouldn't be my choice of treatment but again, not enough info here for me to properly diagnose. If you're still concerned I'd go see an oral surgeon and get it checked but doesn't sound like anything bad to me.

See your doctor: Dysgeusia is a change in your sense of taste due to a variety of causes; from anxiety to dental problems, medications and treatments or simple seasonal flu. See your doctor for consultation and tests.
