What is the difference between bacitin and polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) for treating nostril infection?

Oral versus topical: Hello TPinton, Bacitin is a trade name for Bacitracin. Polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) is trade name for neosporin. Both are topical anti-bacterial ointments. If you have a nostril infection, then Canada's drug regulators do not approve of Bacitin for use inside the body: for external use only!. Polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) reads "do not use inside the nose unless directed by your physician"
