Get an xray b4 boot: Best to get an xray of ankle since pain hasn't resolved w/time. In other words, go see your Family Doc for evaluation.

Depends: It depends on the specific diagnosis. If you have a simple ankle sprain that has improved to the point it is often not painful at all, you may not need any immobilization. If you are improving to the extent you are nearly back to normal, you might just give it more time. If you are having persistent episodes of intermittent pain, then I would be seen for an accurate diagnosis.
