Agree w Dr Gobel.: It would be inherently unethical for any physician to give you a "go bye" for self injury/ mutilation. It is very important in life to be careful what you ask for.

Not good idea: No, I would not think that would be wise. If you want a boot you can just go and purchase one, you don't have to injure yourself to get one.
