Lymph node: Such a finding is not likely to be a cyst. It would almost certainly be a tonsillar lymph node. Enlargement usually indicates that the throat is fighting off infection. If there are no other symptoms then it generally can just be watched. If associated with persistent rapid growth, severe pain, high fever, or severe sore throat, then a medical exam is warranted.
